Kameron Scott Interview by Albert

Kameron Scott is one of the most exciting new performers of 2008, with an easy going sensuality on video, he is a sharp, educated example of the new breed in porn. Self-assured,total professional with a plan for success in this business.

I posted Kameron Scott TV Reporter/Porn Star about his burgeoning porn career and his work for Queer Channel TVin June. Since then Kam has been a regular reader and commenter on this blog.

Since June Kameron has been busy, he shot an innovative project with Lee Stephens for FPG Entertainment called 211 in Progress. A Porn Webisode, a new concept in Gay Porn this was a longer story driven scene for posting direct to FPG's website. Kam also broke into major studio porn this July when he was invited to film at Titan Studios with porn legend Diesel Washington. Kameron has an eye for what will get attention as well as selectively choosing his projects in porn.

Kameron Scott! Enjoy.


Albert, "Kameron, please tell us a little about yourself."

Kameron, "First off, thank you guys for allowing me the opportunity to talk with you. I'm 21 years old and I hail from Norfolk, Virginia. I'm 6' 1" and weight about 175. I have one older brother who has one daughter. He lives in Lafayette, Louisiana. My mother and father live in Norfolk. The rest of my family are either in West Virginia or Texas. We like diversity."

DeWayne, "When did you come out as Gay? You grew up in Norfolk, a conservative Navy town, a twin to San Diego."

Kameron, "I came out my freshmen year in high school. The high school I was attending at that time had a gay principal, so I had some encouragement and backing when I did it. It was not received well by my father or my mother, but my mother had a little more compassion. I come from a military father, and a God fearing mother. It was like the worst combination ever."

DeWayne, "How do you define yourself, Twink, Muscle Twink, Twunk (Twinky Hunk) or just a jock type. Or maybe just say fuck the labels?"

Kameron, "I would say fuck the labels, but they are unavoidable. No matter how I view myself, the industry is the one that labels you. It's almost like the Indian caste system. I guess from the work I've been doing lately, my caste would be Jock.

Albert, "What is your educational background? Are you still in school or plan on returning to school?

Kameron, "I graduated high school in 2005. I moved to New Orleans right after I graduated. I attended LSU. LSU is in Baton Rouge. I didn't really like "The Capital City" so I lived an hour away in New Orleans and drove to school. I had a very small schedule because I took 'Advanced Placement' classes in high school. I graduated last fall with a B.S. in Sports Management.

DeWayne, "You played Baseball in HS right? You LOOK like a ballplayer! What sports did you play?"

Kameron, "I was an all-state pitcher in high school but I also played the outfield on days I didn't pitch. I have very good speed, so I was useful no matter where I played. I also played football and volleyball. Outside of school my love was racquetball. I played tournaments all over North America.

My biggest achievement came when I played for the US Junior National Team that won Silver at the Junior World Tournament in 2005. I also played in the Little League Baseball Big League World Series, two years in a row. We finished second both years to Puerto Rico."

DeWayne, "Where you the jock type?"

Kameron, "Again, I hate labels. While I did play sports, I also was a member of my school's chorus. I was a baritone. The group I sang with was called the 'Varsity Singers.' We were rated the top high school chorus my Junior and Senior years. So I guess I was a geek of sorts too."

Albert, "What do you do outside of adult film? Do you have a regular job?"

Kameron, "Nothing that pays. I work with a group in Fort Lauderdale called the 'M-Project.' It's a gay young men's group for 18 to 30 year olds. We provide alternative activities to just staying at home on the computer or clubbing every night. I also do web-blogging for QueerChannel TV. We cover GLBT events all over South Florida."

Albert, "How did you get into broadcasting?"

Kameron, "I did the school news program all four years of high school so when the guys from Queerchannel asked if I would be their host, it was an easy 'yes' from me."

Albert, "How is QueerChannel funded? Online broadcasting is enormously competitive. You obviously have a focused audience. This cannot be an easy project to continue. 'DeWayneinSD' uses free services and takes in no money. Are you the same?"

Kameron, "The website is owned and operated by Bob Kecskemety. Bob is also a columnist for a local magazine called 'Hotspots.' He uses a free video hosting server but he has to pay for the web page and the licensing for the background music that goes with the videos. He pays for all of the equipment that we use as well as providing the transportation to the locations."

DeWayne, "You are great with a microphone both on video and hosting events. Do you see yourself becoming the Jason Sechrest of Florida?

You know, hosting shows with porn stars and D-listers?"

Kameron, "There is no one like Jason. Hotspots will be starting a new site and magazine column called 'After Dark.' I have been offered a position. It will cater to the adult industry. I'll be doing video reviews, porn gossip as well as interviewing other stars. I've had the opportunity to meet and talk with top models in this business such as Matthew Rush, Ricky Sinz and Diesel Washington. This job will be right up my alley."

DeWayne, "Have you heard Jason has a Kameron Scott voodoo doll and asked for a lock of your hair and sample of your Sperm? Then he can control you! Don't do it Kam! He is EVIL!"

Kameron, "What Jason doesn't know is that I grabbed some of his hair and bought his sperm off e-bay. I've had a doll of him for years. Now he should know why he's having chronic back pain. I'm coming for you Jason...be afraid...be VERY afraid."

Albert, "Do you have a life partner? Any likely prospects.? Any notable ex boyfriends you are still friendly with? "

Kameron, "No partner yet...but there is a very good prospect out there. He'll be reading this. So I just want you to know, I can't wait to be with you Alex. As far as ex's go...I'll never kiss and tell. I have a lot of dirt I could dish...but I'm a firm believer in Karma. Now if I ever see an ex spill the beans on me...I'll be the first to throw them under the bus. Turnabout is fair play."

DeWayne, "What do you look for in a scene partner and how is this different than your private life?"


Kameron, "I don't look for anything in a scene partner. You're usually just stuck with what you get. Off camera, I really don't have a preference. I just like a guy that can hold his own around me, and doesn't mind the job." (laughing)

DeWayne, "Kameron where do you want to take your porn career?"

Kameron, "I believe the sky is the limit for me. I'm going to be careful though. You can't fill your cup up, once it's already full."

Albert, "What types of on-screen sex would you not do because of principle or choice?"

Kameron, "Bareback…'duh."

DeWayne, "So do have any Fetish proclivities? Any plans to get worked over for Boundgods.com? Wolf Hudson could do you!"

Kameron, "I don't think you'll be seeing me on there just yet...but I'd be more than happy to take on Wolf. HE'S HOTT!!!!"

DeWayne, "What's a nice boy like you going to do at Folsom Street Fair?"

Kameron, "I'm going at the request of fellow porn star and good friend Diesel Washington. We'll be performing together at the 'Magnitude' party, plus I'll be hanging with him and other Titan models at the Titan booth during the fair."

Albert, "What would you like to do that pushes your limits? Are there any particular actors or producers you would really like to work with?"

Kameron, "I like to push the envelope. Working for FPG was a step up for me. The scene we filmed was a first for the industry and I think set the standard for fighting movies scenes. I'd love to get the chance to be directed be Chi-Chi and Doug Jefferies. I so want to bottom for Ricky Sinz and Brent Everett.

DeWayne, "Kameron, you did a scene in August with Titan legend Diesel Washington. How did this come about and did you have any trepidations going in?"

Kameron, " It's funny you should call him a legend after only being in porn for two years. Truth be told, I believe he is. He's crossed lines, shocked and gotten millions of people off world wide...me included. I was honored to be asked by him to star with him in a scene. He really gave me a big name to add to my resume and I'm forever grateful to him for that. I had an absolute blast on set. Brian Wills directed and was the best director I have worked for. Wait till you guys see the finished product. It will be unlike anything you guys have ever seen."

DeWayne, "You hosted at the 'Eagle' last night What was that like? Did you stay for Lights out?" (editing note: This would have been the night of Saturday, 13 September 2008 and into the early next morning. DeWayne references 'Lights Out.' At that point the lights go out and patrons do what they will, for a couple of hours.)

Kameron, "It was an interesting place. There were a lot of things I saw there that were strange and some that turned me on. I got flogged by Leather Lee. I don't know who enjoyed that more...him or me."

DeWayne, "I only ask this because you are from Virginia. What did you think about Joe and Harlow and the arrest. Have you ever known people like that?"

Kameron, "It's a sad story, but it just goes to show you what people will do to make money. I never met either one of those men, so I really don't have an opinion on the matter. It's just really unfortunate what happened."

Albert, "Kameron, you are clearly in control of your own career. Where do you hope to be in 10 or 20 years?"

Kameron, "I hope, 10 years from now, I will still be in front of a camera. 20 years from now is a blur. I really have no clue where I'll be tomorrow. It could all be over in the blink of an eye. I just take it one day at a time. No need to rush. I'd love to get behind the camera eventually."
