Busy Busy week and I'll hit the highlights and lowpoints and prepare you for Chicago! Yep next week the Chicago Pride,The Grabbys and International Mr.Leather all in one jam packed Memorial Day weekend!

First up Jesse Santana, covered by my Blog,Jason Curious,QueerMeNow,The Sword and late in the week J.C.Adams the big "story" was the fallout from the "bustup" on Derek and Romaines Sirius radio show. My friend Jimyvr broke the story a week ago since he was listening live and just about everyone linked to him (thats how blogs are born Jim).

On Wednesday Jesse appeared live on The EdgeRadio Show with Viz and Cole and explained how he felt about his treatment on the D & R show. I won't rehash here since I am sure just about everyone knows or has an opinion about Derek humiliating Jesse (or not) and I left plenty of comments on Gay Porn Blog, My Home away from Home!

Well this was a very interesting read tonight.

I try to stray away from these. What anyone thinks of me is none of my business really and I doubt that anything I could say would really change anyone's mind.

But I will say that I could not have planned any of this. lol

What Jim and BB didn't consider was the fact that D&R were lying when they said they Jesse was "fine" with it -- covering their OWN asses. As Jesse made very apparent on the Edge show, he WAS very upset by it. Also, while the interview itself seemed confusing for Jesse and for Howard as well, it wasn't so much the interview itself that upset anyone. It was what they heard when they came home -- the fact that D&R purposely took call after call from listeners who called Jesse "retarded."

The Edge interview you might remember I had actually scheduled and put out a press release on way before the D&R interview took place -- that happened to be a GREAT stroke of luck! In fact, I gave D&R the first interview because I was trying to be nice to them and give them the first crack at him. I'd like to think that's karma for being the person who was trying to be kind.

I should've known better though. I have teased them a lot (remember the YouTube video about the GayVN's?) and I think I underestimated how pissed they were about that and other things that have gone down in the past. When I made that phone call with a suggestion for Jesse's interview, they didn't see it as coming from Jesse's publicist, they saw it as coming from: JASON SECHREST, The Guy Who... .

I also should've listened to D&R more to know that they don't really do "interviews" with porn stars. I was wrong to not know that. They just play games and stuff I guess, I don't know -- I don't listen.

But when I call as a PR rep and book someone on an "interview" ...I expect an interview.

And if that's not what happens, it's my job to make sure that doesn't happen again.

I was very nice when I called to ask that D&R make the focus of Jesse's time on the show JESSE as opposed to doing a game like they did with Aaron. I thanked them so much for the great time with Aaron and the great promo push and said that with Jesse, I would like to really do a full interview if that was okay with them.

Of course, this conversation was not even WITH D&R. It was with Sam Lenga who books their show. So, D&R and I never actually had any conversation about Jesse's booking whatsoever. And the response from Sam was: "Absolutely! No problem! We look forward to it and thank you for booking him."

Weird, huh?

And then of course, frantic right before the interview, Jesse finds out Howard is taking him to a surprise birthday dinner instead of back to the house. I get a call asking if they can do the interview earlier.

I asked: "Are you guys busy and would you mind if Jesse comes on a little early? If you have another guest the hour before, I totally understand, but I just thought I'd ask in case you didn't."

They couldn't make it earlier. I said that was fine and left it up to Howard, his manager, to decide if he felt the interview could be conducted via cell or not, as Howard was with him and I was not. I couldn't very well force him to go back to Howard's in Florida while I'm in California.

Anyway, it's time to move on. And I'm sure everyone here already has, but I hadn't had a chance to even check the blogs or read the gossip or people's responses or anything so I thought I'd give this one a look and I was really glad to see the intelligent responses.

I appreciate everyone who has supported Jesse in this endeavor. I really don't need anyone's support, I can handle myself just fine and my job isn't going anywhere nor is my reputation after 10 years. Jet Set is oddly happier with this than anything I've done for them I think. (For the record, I would NOT be if I were them, but whatever.) I got calls not just from my bosses there, but the owners. They were eating this shit up this week. Again, weird.

Weirdest week EVER!

I couldn't have planned it to go any better for me or for Jesse to have his name out there so much these past two weeks.

But ya know, think about it -- who was the only party with vindictive motives in the ENTIRE situation?

And their bullet was like a boomerang.

Even Chi Chi called into their show this week and said how they were "shitty" and how disappointed she was in them and that she was hurt by their comments about porn stars in general.

They were the ones with the vindictive motives ...and that never, ever pays.

Karma.

This new blog landed a sensational interview with Mr.Pam a well known director/camera person in Gay porn who I learned only last February is in fact one of the only known women filming gay porn! Michael Lucas has more legal troubles and his lawyers must be singing "We are in the money" after Spunk Video.com filed a lawsuit in Us District court in Manhattan alleging copyright infringement. 2 years ago Owen Hawk & Mathias von Fistenberg filed a similar suit against Lucas Entertainment which was settled out of court. With Lucas recently arrested for assault on a neighbor in Chelsea NYC and last years lawsuit by the Fellini Film copyright holders.The Blog Heros and Hunks.com which discovered the "infringing" video is here I guess Michael just saw piss in the title and ignored the word bareback!

Michael better consider a new line of work. Like putting his law degree to work defending himself! Well it will save on the legal bills! See J.C.Adams for the whole story...

Brent Corrigan announced last week he and the Active Duty/Dirty Bird pictures boys are going to Chicago for the Grabbys. He will also being doing some casting interviews and meeting fans, a great opportunity for his Midwest fans as well as a chance to really network with some industry people and promote Brent Corrigan Summit and the coming member site.


Speaking of member sites Brent CorriganInc.com is aiming for a mid to late June launch according to Grant. They have a kick ass webmaster who is moving forward with site prep, expect more info when everyone returns from Chicago.

FOB Jody Wheeler sent word about In the Closet his short film starring Brent Corrigan and J.T.Tepnapa opening at Outfest in July and he sent some new stills. Cant wait for Tell Me's release on Door Q Theater as well.

RJ Danvers came in second as voting closed in the Ford Model contest and he thanked all his fans for voting, he polled and impressive 8500+ votes. Renan Bonin of Brazil won the contract see screencap below. And Renans pic is included in Touch and Go.


European Gay Porn Awards

The EGPA Awards were announced last night in Berlin. Best Overall Film was Wet Dream released by (Sauvage)
Best Group scene was the Orgy at the end of Eurocremes BuilderBoy which featured Mason Wyler George Basten, John Elliot, Titch Jones, Ashley Ryder and Adam Tremadoc .

This was a scorcher of a scene and it was great to see Mason Wyler working in the UK last spring!

Other well deserved winners Simon Booth,Best Director for Borstal Boy(Eurocreme) and Personal fav Ashley Ryder Best Bottom Boy! YEAH!
